Who Owns The Winecoff?

After over 20 years of vacancy and decay, Dillard Winecoff LLC purchased the hotel in 1998 relying on several city financial incentives. However, not only were they not able to secure that support but they are now being heard by the Supreme Court of Georgia where they are claiming wrongful foreclosure and mortgage fraud therefore making them the legal owners of the hotel.

The Winecoff Today

In October of 2007, the hotel was renovated by new owner, Kelco/FB Winecoff, and is now the The Ellis Hotel, a post modern boutique hotel designed to appeal to savvy business travelers. It is named after Ellis Street which runs along it's north side.
